My Sacred Altar

This class centers around the creation of a sacred altar, the history of altars, and how to develop a sacred space of your own.

We will actually be making a personal altar out of materials that I will provide. However, you will bring anything of spirit which is precious to your heart: pictures of favorite masters or guru, picture of yourself or loved ones, flowers, crystals, candles, incense, books, mala beads, a bell - anything which moves you.

After we assemble our personal altars, we will invoke some special prayers and bless our spaces.

Specifics

Although most of the altar materials will be provided, you will bring your own shoe box or similar-sized cardboard container.

Classes will be held in Los Alamos, New Mexico, the exact location will be announced once registrations are complete. Spring sessions are March 11 and 18, 2006.

Cost for each session is $44.00, plus a $20 materials fee.
