Thoughts: About ThreeI read this today and it inspired me: Why Three? What a beautiful way to consider asking the universe to provide something for oneself! Honor thy parents. Love thy neighbor as thyself. Give and so you shall receive. These are important teachings if humanity is to SURVIVE and to evolve to new levels of being. But besides the obvious inspiring underlying messages, I began to wonder about how the essence of 3 works to activate our highest intentions and aspirations—for others and for ourselves (IF there is truly an essential difference). What is so magical about clicking the heels of your red slippers three times to get back home from Oz? Why do genies grant three wishes? Why are there only Three Stooges? Why not Four or Seven Stooges? Why do bad events occur in threes (damn it)? Why do spirits knock three times? Three in the flowThree is being in the flow! Being in the know. Being in the NOW. Being in Oneness. It is the circle (eye of god, vesicae pisces) that is created when two circles, one above, one below, are overlapped somewhat in the middle as they are brought together. It connotes union, and implies the creation of a third thing when oppositional aspects are brought together. We are in a 3 dimensional reality and so all of the laws of three determine how we perceive life and our experience of this matrix of light. Or as Jung has described, the top circle is the conscious mind, the bottom circle is the unconsciousness, and the place where they overlap is the place of synthesis where the self exists in balance and contemplates paradox with equanimity. Three is the essence of oxymoron (an "easy labor" says the doctor!), the language of poets, it is what you see when you read invisible ink, three is the value of genuine imitation leather. It is how our eyes work! How we perceive life. It is the message embedded in the pyramid on the dollar bill. It is magic. It is the third thing we bring into being when we invoke REAL POTENTIAL. Two threes placed open sides together make a "figure" eight, the loop of infinity, the symbol of perpetual flow. Three overcomes duality and so embodies the essence of life, of creative power, of new growth. There were three wise men. Good stories always have three knocks, three blows, three sisters, three blind mice, etc. Think about three! Three. 3:33 is a great time to ask for a miracle or feel the presence of a loved one who has passed—it provides a nexus (con-nex-tion) point through the fabric of the time/space continuum. Four (4) is nextPay attention to three, feel the three, use three. May the three be with you! By the way, four (4) can be thought of as perfection/wholeness and creates a state of no-time (you don't get older), so we have a lot to look forward to—no pun intended (and 3 plus 4 is 7 (seven) which signifies HEAVEN, the number of ascension, the marriage of the etheric and the manifest represented by The Hanged Man and by Christ (3) on the Cross (4).........). Three wishesTo get back to three: remember that genies give 3 wishes—one for your parents (it took 2 to make YOU), one for your neighbor, one for yourself! Have fun with your own thoughts and experiences with three; I am sure this only scratches the surface of threeness. More to Consider about Three:
